Smooth-product pulping & refining for jam production

Resolve pulp texture before concentration makes handling harder.

Input → output

Incoming

Prepared fruit requiring a finer continuous phase.

Handover

Pulp meeting an agreed particle and seed/skin separation condition.

Use condition

Consider a pulper or refiner only where incoming texture and the smooth-product specification require it. Received puree may already meet the target; fruit-piece routes normally bypass this step.

Output evidence

Screen designation alone is not a finished texture measurement. Evaluate pulp, retained material and yield using representative fruit and the agreed sampling method.

Interfaces

Confirm feeding consistency, collection capacity, overflow prevention and whether subsequent heating changes viscosity. Keep reject removal and cleaning access independent of the cooked-product area.

Cleaning, access and operating limits

Specify removal and inspection of screen and rotor assemblies, safe access and how trapped seeds or fibres are detected.

Do not put the complete fruit-piece batch through a fine refiner.
